Telemark Forest Mountain Bike Event

The perfect mountain bike event for riders of all ages and abilities from novice to elite. The Telemark Forest Mountain Bike Race will showcase the beautiful trails in and around Telemark Resort and the Cable area. Come enjoy the outdoors and join all of your friends for this annual “must-do” event.

The course will challenge even the fittest mountain bikers with demanding climbs and rolling descents. However, the course will be non-technical following wide ski trails, fire-roads and two-track trails, making it suitable for those who are newer to the sport or who are less comfortable with “curvaceous” trails.

Attention parents! Our 6 Mile ‘Sprint Category’ MTB event is open to kids ages 14 and under.

Participant Perks, Race Results and Awards

Participants will receive a great racer tee (guaranteed only for pre-registered racers), refreshments at the start, finish and aid stations during the event, invitation to a post-race BBQ and a raffle ticket.

Race results will be posted on the website the evening of the race day.

Awards will be given to the top 3 men and women overall in each race.

Awards will be given to the top 3 men and women for each race in the following age-groups:

12-15 (Sprint-Bike 6 mile only), 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Awards Ceremony Raffle and BBQ at Telemark Resort after the race!

All racers will start and finish at Telemark Resort in the old coliseum area near The Hytte. The TELEMARK FOREST MARATHON CATEGORY 28.5 MILE race will use two separate 14+ mile loops, passing through TELEMARK START/FINISH between loops.

The TELEMARK FOREST INTERMEDIATE CATEGORY 15 MILE race will use one of the 2 marathon loops starting and finishing at Telemark Resort.

The SPRINT CATEGORY 6 MILE course will leave Telemark for 3 miles on gravel roads, then return via Short & Fat trial (snowmobile trail).

Rules.

Wear a helmet / Racers must be at least 15 years old on race day to participate (except 6 mile Sprint MTB event / Racers must stay on the designated race course. Failure to do so may result in disqualification / No cheating in any way / Obey race officials, yield to emergency personnel and vehicles / Thank a volunteer :)
